yank.info extracts the five most quotable lines from a podcast, video, essay, article or PDF and gives each a permanent card URL. Use search_lines to find lines, get_yank to read one yank with full provenance, get_lines_for_url to ask what the library already holds from a source, and check_quote to check whether a statement is in the source it is attributed to (a verdict and a receipt, never a judgement on whether the statement is true). Cite the cardUrl. Lines with verbatim=false are paraphrases: say so when you quote them. A line's speaker carries speakerClass, the basis of that claim; passageUrl opens the publisher's page on the exact words and selector (exact, prefix, suffix) lets you re-locate the line yourself.
