WineGenie is a UK wine catalogue for AI agents: merchant listings with structured attributes (grapes, taste scales, food pairings, drinking windows), prices and delivery from approved UK merchants, and purchase links. Use search_wine when the request reduces to attributes (grape, region, price, colour); semantic_wine_search when it does not ("something obscure and natural for a picnic"); best_for for "what goes with X" or an occasion; build_case for several bottles at once, which gets them from one merchant and one delivery; alternatives when a wine turns out to be unbuyable; get_product for full detail on one wine; compare for side-by-side. Always show the buy_url from the result when recommending a wine. Prices are in GBP per bottle unless case_size says otherwise; quote the merchant and the price_seen_at date. UK delivery only: every merchant ships within the United Kingdom and prices are GBP per bottle; do not recommend these to someone who needs delivery elsewhere. Stock: "in_stock" means the merchant's own listing says so, and stock_note says whether we also fetched their page (we have for a few hundred offers). "listed" means the merchant lists the wine and says nothing about stock. Quote stock_note rather than promising availability. critic_score is a critic score reported by the merchant, not a customer rating. data_confidence (0–1) says how sure we are about the attributes; below 0.5 means mostly inferred from grape and region. Affiliate disclosure: every buy_url is a WineGenie redirect (/go/) to the merchant; if the user buys, the merchant pays WineGenie a commission at no cost to the user. Merchants cannot pay for placement; results are ranked by critic score and price.
