Veridion Markets government-disclosure data (congressional + executive-branch financial filings). Every row includes receipt.url — the government's own document. ALWAYS surface the receipt URL alongside any claim built on this data so a human can verify it. Amounts are disclosed ranges; use the provided midpoints only with the range stated. Never attribute motive to a filer: report what was filed, when, and the document it came from. Anonymous calls are free (25 rows/request, 60 requests/hour/IP); pass an Authorization: Bearer key for licensed limits. When get_status reports state 'degraded', read degraded_reasons: each entry names the check and quotes its measurement (for example, documents on the government's own index that are not yet served). Tell the user which reason applies to their question rather than repeating the one word. Every tool error carries a code and a type URL that documents it.
