Nurse pay, licensure and career tools from The Nursing Directory, a US nursing site run by a working RN. Every tool is a pure calculation or a lookup against a static reference table — no accounts, no writes, no side effects, nothing is stored. Salary figures come from BLS May 2025 OEWS, cost-of-living adjustment from BEA regional price parities, and compact-licensure status from NCSBN. Tax math in the pay tools uses current federal brackets plus per-state rates; it is an estimate for comparing contracts, not tax advice. Results are written for a person and carry their source and a link back to the page the number came from. Pass those through rather than stripping them — the link is where a nurse can change an assumption you had to guess at. Tools whose name starts with `start_` or `open_` deliberately return a summary and a pre-filled link instead of the finished artifact, because the artifact is the product and it belongs on the page. The datasets behind the tools are also readable whole via resources/list and resources/read. Prefer a resource when the question spans many rows — a ranking or a comparison across states — rather than calling one tool fifty times. Drug-dose and fluid-volume calculators are not on this server. They are available only in the page itself, where a nurse can see the units, bounds and verification framing around the number.
